Halloweenie

October 31st, 2008 by Barbara Doduk

So it’s here. Halloween. I wanted to just let go of my cynical side and have fun this year. Ummm I am still going to try. I am the QUEEN of TRY. I am even dressing up. I haven’t done that since 1998? 10 years of not doing Halloween. I think my protest is over.

35 and ready to be 16 again is wonderful.

I decided to go back the black bob hair cut… appointment set. Picked out a new set of glasses too. Plan to get some much needed new wardrobe. (How I’m going to afford it that is a mystery but fuck it ???) By Christmas, I’ll be back to being freely B. Sure my heart is locked in a secret water tight Dead Woman’s Chest and on the bottom of the ocean, hopefully I never have to battle The Kraken.

Funny how I feel these days. Weird funny. Went to the store to pick colors for painting the walls. Grabbed a bunch of samples, you know those little color squares. They are stuck every where. The cashier says to me, “Oh you thinking of painting?” and in my head I though “Uh DUH” and was polite and said ya to the girl. She then told me how she did the same thing, wall pinned with sample color squares but couldn’t decide so she covered her room in posters instead. Ah to be a teenager.

No, to be a 35 year old teenager YAH!

I think I will paint the walls this green… what’s it called… umm Fresh Fern. All the colors I like seem too too dark. Think it will be nice for the living area.

I think like this Cuban Cigar color for the bathroom and kitchen bits. It’s a chocolate color.

Oh and I bought some art work paint brushes. The slow collection of painting gear has officially begun.

So have fun tonight boys and girls. Life is too short not to have fun.
